Lindsay LaPlante and her horse Noodle (Mac N Cheese Please) have qualified for the AQHA world championship show in Jr Trail. Noodle is a 4 year old bay Quarter Horse gelding, many of you know him from the barn. Lindsay purchased him as a yearling, being so young and straight out of a pasture, he didn't know much of anything. With the help of Liz, Shelly, and several other friends and family members, Lindsay taught him basic ground manners, how to carry a saddle, and broke him to ride when he was 2 years old.

Through steady training and showing Noodle has earned over 100 trail points in the last year and a half, was the PCQHA Fall Classic 3 year old Trail Futurity champion. He was also the Sun and Surf Circuit 3/4 year old Reserve Futurity Champion! Lindsay has shown at the world show twice before, the first time very successfully with her previous horse, they were crowned the 2011 AQHA JR TRAIL WORLD CHAMPIONS! In 2013 she competed with Hotrod Lopin, unfortunately did not make the finals due to a slight mistake in the lope overs.

Competing in the world show is no easy feat, you must show at nationally ranked AQHA shows and be competitive enough to earn the necessary points to qualify. Jr Trail is a class designated for horses 5 years and younger, and for professionally ranked riders. Unfortunately getting to the World show, in Oklahoma, is expensive. Between entry fees, stalling fees, trailering for the horse, airfare, hotel and rental car costs, horse/human food, as well as many many other costs, it averages between $5,000-$6,000 to simply compete. Any donation helps Lindsay reach her goal of competing there with a completely self trained horse. Thank you!
