My name is Evdokiia, and I have just been admitted to the Conflict Resolution and Mediation MA Program at Tel Aviv University. I aim to study the intersection of political psychology and conflictology, continuing my research on political radicalisation and cognition. To cover my education and pursue this important research, I am seeking $20,000 in financial support, which will cover tuition and accommodation expenses.

My journey to this field has been shaped by the aftermath of October 7th event. The reaction of international community has awaken a sense of disappointment but with that also deep passion for politics and history. Being non jewish myself i still felt extremely affected emotionally by the rise of antisemitic narratives. My bachelor in psychology added a very interesting perspective on current events that is uncommon for political science discourse. That contributed to my thesis research paper on correlation between critical thinking level and political radicalisation:”The Illusion of Rationality: How Political Engagement, Ideological Position, and Perceived Critical Thinking Create Intellectual Blind Spots”.

This fundraiser is more than a request for financial assistance - it is an invitation to join me in exploring why political polarisation and radicalisation happen, and how they can be addressed through cognition and education.
