If you know Lawrence, a proud individual. Had lived each day to the fullest with enthusiasm for life, who lights up every room with his smile. A pillar of Atlantic Iowa community. Working independently as a Master of Masonry for many years. Downtown and neighbors displays his work of Art.
Lawrence had fallen ill and was unresponsive; rushed to a small hospital in town. Soon airlifted by helicopter to Counsel Bluff where ICU staff worked on him, keeping him alive. Lawrence spent three weeks in ICU and weeks in therapy at the hospital to learn how to walk again.
Today, Lawrence is home struggling with his numerous illnesses, conditions; needs additional testing, bloodwork and treatment. He has a long road ahead.
Today, he is unsteady on his feet and can hardly move. To help him pay his medical debt, food and utilities he asked younger brother Leroy to help him with work. Lawrence supervises as Leroy does the hard labor.
We don't know how long Lawrence is here on earth, but he is a fighter. His prognosis is not what his family wants to hear. Family does not want him doing nothing but concentrate on staying home and staying well.
Our brother needs our help now. Not only to pay medical debt, home utilities but to give him a healthy warm meal.
Please contribute what you can. I know the holidays took a big chunk out of our earnings. If not today, maybe another day. Every dollar will
help Lawrence tremendously.
Thank you so much!
