Hello, This is Dennis Chabot Jr.
Most of you know that I lost my mom a couple of weeks ago, on Oct 20th. If you knew my mom, then you knew how hard she fought for a couple of years before she finally lost her battle to live. I'm heartbroken at the loss of my mom but I'm just as sad for how difficult this all has been for my Dad. Not only did he lose the love of his life of 45 years but now he's left with trying to figure out how to pay for all of this.
I'm trying to start a go fund me to help my dad pay for the funeral for her. And if you knew my dad you know how much he loved her and how hard and long he worked to help her fight to get better again. For over two years mom and dad tried to survive on just their social security to pay their bills because dad had to stay at home to take care of mom. At the end of it all, all of their savings had to be used on purchasing things for mom. They had to remodel their bathroom cuz mom couldnt get over a tub wall. They had to purchase a recliner couch to help keep her legs and feet up to keep them from swelling. They had to get an adjustable bed to help mom sit up and keep her feet up. My point is everything they had saved is now gone. And now he has a funeral and a celebration of life to pay for.
Mom and Dad loved each other and went through hell together and loved and laughed through it all for 45 years. Not many people can say that. They did it alone with no help. But now dad's back is against the wall. He needs help. Your help.
So I'm reaching out to my friends and my family to chip in to help my dad pay for the funeral expenses and the celebration of life. I dont want this to sound wrong but there are lots of people who want to come to the celebration but nobody thinks about who has to pay for it. I'm not asking for a lot. Five , ten maybe twenty. Its a coffee or two or a pack of smokes. Wouldn't you want that from your friends?
I have thousands of people who are on my "friends" list on facebook. If everyone gave a mere $10 we would make our goal with no problem. So please consider to help.
Thank you to all of you who help.
