Suzanne was born in Detroit, and lived and worked her entire life in Michigan. She graduated from Michigan State University and worked for over 30 years as a social worker with the State of Michigan. She worked tirelessly advocating for children and working to find them loving adoptive families.  She is survived by her loving husband Gerald who she treasured for almost 49 years. Gerald also dedicated his life to service while working and retiring as a social worker in the State of Michigan. Her children Brianna and Christopher, her son in law Jason,  her grandchildren Maren and Keaton, and her miniature dachshunds Charlie and Roxie all who enveloped her heart. Throughout her life, she supported one main organization through charitable donations. <a href="https://www.awareshelter.org/">Aware</a> is located in Jackson Michigan where she spent most of her working career. They provide many services that were dear to Suzanne's heart. In addition, the <a href="https://www.awareshelter.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/FINAL-AWARE-Annual-Report-2016.pdf">percentage of donations</a> that go directly to services is very high as they do an outstanding job keeping administrative costs to a minimum.  100% of the donations collected will be directly transferred from this gofundme account to Aware.  We appreciate you assisting us in continuing the legacy that Suzanne worked so selflessly to create.
