ABOUT DREAM GIRLS MENTORING PROGRAM
Dream Girls Mentoring Program is a 501c3 non profit organization located in Baltimore, MD. Dream Girls Mentoring Program, Inc is committed to contributing to the decline in teen pregnancy through providing prevention and supportive services to pregnant and parenting young women ages 12-20. Services include a comprehensive life skills program, mentoring services, and an onsite curriculum driven child development center.
OUR VISION & GOAL
Dream Girls currently occupies a space that is no longer able to support the growing needs of the program and the organization’s long-term vision. By moving to a new location, DREAM Girls will not only be able to house our life skills development program for teenage mothers, but it will also house a child development center. The center will house on site mentoring services, a life skills resource center, and employment opportunities for inner city youth.
We previously found a new location and invested several thousand dollars into readying the location for operations. We purchased the necessary equipment for the child development center and were prepared to open our doors for business. Unfortunately, before we were able to open our doors for business, the pipes in the building burst, making the building unavailable. As a result of this unfortunate situation, we were forced to look for a new location to house our programs.
Until we find a new location the child development center is on hold.
HOW YOU CAN HELP!
Securing a permanent property would allow us to execute our mission and customize the center to fit our needs.
Dream Girls Mentoring Program’s mission is to uplift, empower, and educate young pregnant and parenting girls to become confident and competent women. The child development center will alleviate the barrier that inadequate childcare presents for many young parents to complete or further their educational goals. The life skills program will include workshops pertaining to daily living, parenting, health education, and overall self-sufficiency. Having a central location for all services provided by DREAM Girls would allow us to provide ongoing services to the community and support a growing need.
We hope you will consider contributing to helping us secure our "Dream House”! We do have various donation levels, but they are just suggestions. Please give what you can. Every little bit given will help us reach our goal.
