Construct a computer science lab for rural kids

"This is so far one of the best ways to inspire students," report from our partner school teacher

With the increasing drop out rates in schools, Serere has continued to perform low in national examinations countrywide. Students do not have the opportunity to be introduced to computer lessons in the early years of their high schools. With the belief that computer science increases interest in learning and promotes critical thinking, IT4ALL project was launched in 2016 as part of Youth for Reconciliation & Leadership to boost learning.

With an increasing number of students learning how to code in their first year of high school, we have seen an increasing desire for learning in more than 5,000 students reached out by this project.

Now in its fourth year, the project needs funding to establish a permanent training center that will provide training to students throughout the year and host training boot camps during off school seasons.

These funds will entirely be used for the construction of a hall that will house 100 computers for the new training center that will be located in proximity to different schools in Serere for ease of access by our students

Your donation will go a long way in fulfilling the mission of this project which is "to bridge the rural digital gap." Thank you for considering to support this work that we are in together. http://www.youthrl.org/
