Right360 started back when conservative sites started being delisted/devalued from all the liberal search/social platforms. We started Right360 with the intent of self-funding the project, as our contribution to helping move the conservative agenda forward. As the site grows, it allows conservatives to share their ideas/stories across our platforms; however, it consumes more resources in bandwidth/hosting/storage fees.
As a result of our impact, via the Right360 sites, we have received inquiries from users asking how they could assist [financially]. On one hand we’ve attempted to design the sites as ad-supported, to offset the cost of development, hosting, and operating costs/fees. On the other hand, we understand people don’t want ads in their face and use ad-blockers (which is fine). One comment we received was, if you don’t have an option to allow those with the ability to help pay things forward… it’s a missed opportunity for all.
Therefore, we have considered and elected to offer such a medium for those users who may be able to share more. As we have never done this type of fund raising/donation event before, we didn’t know where to start. One of the decision points, when setting an account up, was a target amount; in order to answer this, we took our first year of expenditures, cut that in half, and rounded.
