CONOR GROGAN was my youngest brother and I was lucky to have been chosen as his Godfather by our parents 38 years ago.
Conor was in a good place.  His new home improvements business was just taking off and both Conor & his wife Pauline were so excited about going on their first family holiday abroad in four years to La Cala, Costa Del Sol, Spain.

Conor & Pauline along with their three daughters Nicole (16), Amy (11) & Stacey (6) set off on their two week holiday adventure to La Cala on the 14th July 2017.

However something dreadful and something we could never have anticipated or imagined happened.

Pauline, Nicole, Amy & Stacey's holiday ended abruptly in awful unimaginable circumstances with Conor’s untimely death following a tragic accident / fall in the holiday apartment on the16th July and just two days into their dream family holiday.

I have a saying; if you live to tell the tale then it’s an adventure…..

Sadly for Pauline, Nicole, Amy & Stacey their holiday ended as a nightmare with the sudden tragic death of their beloved husband and father, Conor.

Unfortunately Conor & Pauline had no travel insurance. If there was ever a good example for everyone to take out travel / life insurance this is it.

For the Grogan family thankfully we had the kindness, generosity and aid of The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust. The Trust have to date brought home the remains of many unfortunate Irish people sadly who died abroad since it was first set up three years ago, one of the most recent being our own beloved Conor.

On behalf of Conors family I would now like to launch a GoFund me appeal to help towards his Funeral costs in Ireland and to provide some financial support for his widow Pauline and daughters Ciara, Nicole, Amy ,Stacey & Granddaughter Tory over the coming months.

All donations no matter how small will be greatly appreciated over the next four to six week period.

The fund will be managed by me personally, Eugene Grogan.

All remaining funds after Conor’s Funeral expenses have been paid will be passed onto his wife Pauline and hopefully bring some financial support to her and her children during these very difficult times.

Thank you sincerely for your generosity.

Kind regards,
Eugene Grogan
