Connor Perdue’s World Warrior trip

Hello! My name is Connor Perdue and this is my story. I have always felt like there was something I was missing in my life but I just couldn't quite figure out what it was until last year. I was presented with the opportunity to go on my first mission trip last Spring Break to the Dominican Republic. We were there for a week and did everything from ministering in schools to participating in energetic 3 to 5 hour long services to going into the streets and ministering. Everything I did in the Dominican Republic felt so natural. It only took a couple of days and a few dozen kids to receive Jesus for me to realize that missionary work was MY calling. Last summer, I was invited to be a last minute fill in to go on a mission trip to Honduras. That was a completely different experience, but I loved every second of it! The manual labor performed there allowed me to see a different side of mission work. The manual labor performed there allowed me to see a different side of mission work. Though a bit more indirect in terms of reaching people, the impact was just as great if not more so. Then in April of this year, I was able to go to El Salvador on my third mission trip in just a year. This trip was all about reaching children and we did so through skits, dances, street and school ministry. Although I loved this trip the most, the impact it left on me was completely different. While in El Salvador, I was presented with multiple opportunities to further my dream and calling of becoming a full time missionary. With a combination of an incredible staff, an amazing outreach and the opportunities that I was presented, I felt like this was the place that truly wanted to grow and train missionaries to impact the world. The World Warriors project will be the first step in answering this call on my life of full time missionary work. First and foremost, I ask that you partner with me in prayer for this journey.
