Connor Lynskey Scholarship Fund

Through no fault of his own, Connor Lynskey, an 18 year old of Hinckley, NY, had his life abruptly taken from him, following a hit and run accident by a coward who fled the scene following a Jason Aldean concert that took place at Darien Lake on August 10th. His life was just getting started.  The accident occurred on August 11th, shortly after midnight, as Connor had separated from friends and was attempting to return home to his campsite.  He was immediately reported missing, though Connor was left in a cornfield for nearly 12 hours before he was found by authorities. 

Connor was a star athlete, an aspiring doctor and an all around great young man. He was a son, a brother, a grandson, a nephew, a cousin, and a great friend to many.  This is a devastating loss, and nothing shy of an absolute tragedy.  Nobody deserves this, but certainly not the Lynskey family.
Nothing will bring him back, but it is a small relief that the person responsible has been identified.

Over the last number of days, we have often heard, "I am so sorry. Please let me know if there is anything I can do."

There isn't much you can do, but there is something. Connor's life was not for nothing. So be a good person. Find your moral compass. Look out for one another. Love your family and let them know it. Priortize life and live it to the fullest. Be like Connor. Tomorrow is not guaranteed.
