Connolly Stroke Unit Fund

Each year, approximately 10,000 Irish people have a stroke and around 2,000 die as a result. Stroke Units deliver the highest standard of care for those affected. A specialised team work collaboratively with the person and their family to increase recovery rate and ultimately reduce mortality. Connolly Hospital are committed to providing patient-centered quality care and are developing a specialised, 8 bedded Stroke Unit. We are hoping to raise at least €1,000 which will go towards specialised medical and therapy equipment to optimise patient care and outcomes. The Stroke Team are participating in various events to raise much needed funds, the first of which will be the Great Ireland Run in the Phoenix Park on April 15th!
