Connie's fight-Stage IV Cancer

This is our sister Connie. She is a 38 year old mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece and granddaughter. Her husband Alan has been in the US Army serving our country for over 21 years. They have been married for almost 20 years and have 3 boys 17, 11 and 19 months. They all need our help.
Suffering from unbearable abdominal pain, Connie started an aggravating process of trying to find out what was the cause. She ended up in the ER on July 21st, a CT scan showed a mass at the tail end of her pancreas and she was admitted to the hospital. Unfortunately, she wasn’t scheduled for a biopsy until Aug 16th, 26 days after being admitted to the hospital. The endoscopy and biopsy confirmed it was a 3 x 6 cm cancerous mass called Adenocarcinoma. Doctors came up with the game plan of chemotherapy followed by surgery to remove the tail section of the pancreas, her spleen, gallbladder and her left kidney. After surgey they scheduled her to have more chemo every two weeks.
On Aug 31st, during the diagnostic laparoscopy it was discovered the cancer had spread in several other areas. She has been diagnosed with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer. They still have a treatment plan but it’s going to be a lot longer, more difficult process than originally anticipated. Connie and her family are determined to fight this with all they have.
Her family wanted to start a fund to help cover expenses. Connie has taken leave from work until further notice. She is being treated at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo. Anyone who has been through this themselves or with a loved one knows how expensive and exhausting cancer treatment can be.
