Congo humanitarian mission

Donation protected
In August 2019, I and several others will be traveling to Congo for 2 purposes:
1) ministry: outdoor preaching and leadership conference, in both Kinshasa (Capitol City of more than 10 million) and Kikwit. Even now ministers of different denominations in these cities are working together to organize this outreach, mobilizing people throughout the entire cities. For this we are purchasing a new sound system (which will be used for further community outreach even after we've returned), shipping costs for said system and other supplies.

2) humanitarian relief:
A) building a new hospital (see the pictures for the conditions they've had to deal with so far) in an impoverished region of Kinshasa. The people there have requested this, as it's very needed. Everything we receive in excess of the need for outreach will go towards this humanitarian goal.
B) clothing, blankets, school supplies, which will be shipped from the United States.

We are members of Regeneration Church, in Rochester, Minnesota:
Eric Huhtala - associate pastor, managing this GoFundMe campaign
Bob Mankaka (along with wife and 3 kids) - head pastor of our congregation.
Several members of our church will also be going with us.
There's also a pastor from Fargo North Dakota, and doctor Mondo from Montana who will be spearheading the work on the new clinic.

We have also partnered with several churches in Rochester Minnesota, and Shakopee Minnesota for this outreach effort:

Rochester:
Berean Community Church
Calvary Evangelical Free Church
Bethel Lutheran Church (providing many blankets for women, kids, babies)

Shakopee:
Valleyview Baptist Church
Tempo Nuevo Church

Pastor Bob is from the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he helped form Mission Evangelique du Galilee (MEG), a collection of about 90 churches, mostly in Congo and surrounding nations. Bob is the international chairman of these churches he planted in Congo, Angola, and South Africa. These churches are our main point of contact in Congo, but there are many churches besides who have joined in for the preaching and conference. Bob attends Bethel University in St Paul, Minnesota pursuing a degree in Divinity.

I've provided $20,000 of my own money towards this effort. After seeing what's going on in Angola, I felt such a strong desire to contribute, and go back for more.

Bob and his wife, a nurse, have contributed several thousand.

The funds are to help us pay for the material needs for the trip, and also the new clinic and material needs therein. At this point we've purchased much of the sound system, a generator, and a stage for use in outdoor preaching. We still require funds to ship these items from China, collecting and shipping humanitarian supplies from the United States, Customs fees in Congo, transport costs within Congo.

Thanks for your consideration to support us in our endeavors.
