Cone Family Hardship Fund

They say everyone is one step away from disaster and it seems we have reached disaster. On Saturday Morning, my husband, Jeffrey Cone, was admitted to the hospital with what we thought was a stomach problem. It turns out that he has a very serious staph infection that had spread to his left kidney. Jeff had a very good job that he was laid off from in January. Since then, we have gotten behind on everything. Jeff finally accepted a job in March  making 25% less than his previous job. The new job does not provide insurance coverage so we are relying on state coverage. He recently also started working a second job in the evenings. He did not realize he was sick because he thought he was tired from working all the time. Jeff is also a diabetic which complicates his medical condition. The Doctor's predict a very long road ahead. Jeff does not have vacation time accrued and it seems he will be missing a considerable amount of work. I am reaching out to our family and friends for help in this difficult time. We want to keep our 4 year old daughter Breana's life as stable as possible by keeping her in our apartment with all of her own things. We are in danger of getting evicted from our apartment. Any one who knows Jeff knows that he is a kind, unjudgemental man who would help anyone in need. We may not be able to pay everyone back right away but we promise to pay it forward when we are back on our feet again. We are grateful and appreciative of any help you can provide.
