Concerts for Compassion
Founded by Juilliard graduates, Mariella Haubs and Jocelyn Zhu, Concerts for Compassion crosses cultural boundaries by bringing live music to local communities and displaced peoples.
Concerts for Compassion (CFC) has visited over thirty countries since their launch in 2017, and has played in venues ranging from refugee camps to concert halls.
CFC was inspired by the diverse backgrounds of its founders. Jocelyn Zhu was born in Jackson, Mississippi to immigrant parents from China and Taiwan. Mariella Haubs grew up in the South of Germany before immigrating to the United States in her teenage years. Although vastly different, their backgrounds share a common theme: communities that have histories of racial discrimination. CFC grew from a mutual desire to use their Juilliard education as a tool to make a difference. For more information, visit www.concertsforcompassion.com
