Concert 8848: The Highest Show on Earth

Passion and beauty are casualties of the modern, practical and efficient world. For those of us who do experience them or are fortunate enough to come across others who are driven by them, that is something worth cherishing and worth investing it. Philippe is a rare embodiment of passion and moved by all things beautiful to him. So much so, that he has invested his life, often impractically and inefficiently, in the pursuit of his two great loves; mountains and music.

Having spent 30 years splitting his time between mountain guiding in the Alps and working as a pianist in nearby ski resorts and hotels, the lines underneath his eyes tell stories that can feel like they span centuries. Philippe is now within the final years when it is still possible for him to realize his ultimate dream: to play his Piano on the summit of Everest.
