PROTECT DOVER, THE GREAT SWAMP AND OUR WATER

UPDATE: We recently had a major victory, on August 28th, 2023 Supreme Court Judge Thomas Davis ruled in our favor (decision HERE), and reversed the Dover Planning Board's approval of the Transco project. If Transco decides to move forward, the Planning Board must take a "hard look" at the environmental issues that they failed to look at the first time.

We're Dover Residents and we've formed a grassroots community of moms, dads, grandparents, local businesses, etc in Dover, NY with a mission to inform our residents and protect our town from power & utility overdevelopment starting in 2023.

The State, EPA, and DEC already consider Dover, NY an environmentally and financially disadvantaged town - now overburdened by a massive gas-fired power plant that doesn't feed Dover energy and doesn't pay their fair share in taxes. Now that we've opened the door to one, the rest have come knocking.

We need your help to raise funds for public outreach. Funds will go directly towards website hosting, mailed public notices, printed flyers, printed yard signs, printed banners, paid digital outreach in the form of social media ads, etc. Additionally, our collective group which include Friends of the Great Swamp (FrOGS), and The Oblong Land Conservancy have spent significant funds to hire experts, and other legal fees.

We are grateful to the residents who have volunteered their time, helped to spread the word, and made donations.
