Happy new year to my friends and family!
I'm super excited to share that I'll be kicking off 2015 with a return to the Philippines, my parents' homeland, for the first time in almost 15 years. And a chunk of my visit will be focused on cultural immersion through Kularts' Tribal Tour, which I was just recently accepted into. Yay!
What is this tribal tour?
This "tour" embraces the majesty of the Southern Philippines and dispels fearful myths about one of the most complex and misunderstood regions of the world. Since 2002, Kularts has conducted its one-of-a-kind Tribal Tour, a hands-on field study, custom-designed for participants to explore, discover, and draw empowerment from indigenous Pilipino cultures of Mindanao. I need some support!
To help celebrate my 37th birthday this month, I invite you to support my travels and return to the Philippines with my parents. I hope to raise $2,000 to help cover tour expenses, flights, and travel insurance --- and to avoid emptying out my savings account! ;)
What's in it for you?
In exchange for the support of my campaign, I will share my travel blog - photos & videos will be included! Additionally, I will bring back a gift from the Southern Philippines for each of my supporters.
