Help the Wisdom Seeker school kids !
CROWDFUNDING HIKE TO MOUNT KENIA - CHRISTMAS 2019!
Many children do not have access to proper education and often their school careers end before secondary school. Many of them are left with no chance to improve their living conditions and let their dreams come true because of their limited education. Where they go to school, the conditions often are insufficient as you can see by the pictures.
My name is Johannes Friessleben and I came to Kenya in 2018 to attend the 2-year IB – program and graduate in 2020 at Braeburn Garden Estate School in Nairobi.
With my fellow students Ali and Young I visited the Wisdom Seekers School in Nairobi and discussed with them, what we can do to improve the learning environment.
We decided to raise money to purchase and install a kitchen for the wisdom seekers primary school! Currently they are preparing food with a single pot on a wood- fuelled stove placed on the ground.
As I am going to climb Mt. Kenya this Christmas, everybody who supports this crowdfunding will get a thank you message from the top as well as New-Years greetings from the school children in Nairobi in 2020 !
Depending on the amount we are able to gather we will also improve other things in the school like the washing rooms or even build a computer lab.
The fundraising ends on 31st January 2020, as we are going to use the funds for the improvements in the term break in February.
