My name is Baké Watt, I am 24 years old, and my shop is Purple Like Me Crafts. I make and sell felt dolls, bookmarks, and ornaments.
My shop supports me and my boyfriend as we work from home, manage my mental and physical health, pay groceries and utilities.
PLMC also helps me send some money to my family in Benin.
I have been without a computer for over a year now. That’s been really hard with my shop. I rely on my boyfriend’s computer when I need to manage my Etsy shop, buy/print shipping labels, and type up the Dear Young Adoptee letters.
A computer would really help alleviate a lot of stress as well as give me the freedom to manage PLMC. I also hope to use my computer to self care, play games, journal, and interact with my family.
The $3,500 is to cover a nice, long lasting computer (hopefully a MacBook) as well as helping us with our apartment utilities, groceries, and our student loans.
