So now, as we said at the beginning of this pandemic, while communally attempting to practice the art of “social distancing,” as we masked our baited breath, we continued to make every effort to bring you, local, independent, neighborhood news, on a weekly basis, in both West Philadelphia and Center City. We carried on publishing through our websites, www.philadelphiafreepress.com and www.ucreview.com to which we upload stories on a daily and weekly basis, and we introduced our new, email-blasting-out of digital-flip-page versions of our papers, on the ISSUU platform, which many read in a magazine format or download as a PDF file.
Although we will not be appearing in print weekly until, or unless, this pandemic relents, we are getting back to “normalcy,” publishing in print, at least monthly. Big News: We have hired a national newspaper website developer which has equipped more than 2,000 local media news organizations throughout the country with their digital services and guidance to transform their business models and flourish in the digital age. Their tools and expertise in print, digital, video, and advertising enable local media organizations, like ours, in dynamic markets, like Philadelphia, to efficiently engage their audiences, increase security and grow revenue. This company is fueled by a passion for local media and a 30-year proven track record of success. And we have the same passion.
We want to thank the many donors who have helped to sustain us through these last seven months showing their support for community news and to our publications. We hope that we can count on you to help us expand our engagement with the neighborhoods we serve through this wonderful new website platform. We will continue to be committed to bringing you community news, and we will alert you when this new site is launched.
