<div>Recently, Dawne is finding her herself being faced with homelessness, and having to vacate her home within 30 days.

<div>For the last four years, she has lived in a safe Asheville townhome that allowed her to manage life with Meniere’s disease on a fixed disability income. She was able to maintain the property, create community and find comfort in the safety of knowing she had a home, even as her Meniers’s disease progressed. Unfortunately, Dawne was recently informed that the property is now being sold, forcing her to find a new home, having been given a 30 day notice this past week.

<div>As we all know, finding an affordable, safe home in Asheville on a fixed income is nearly impossible, and public housing waitlists are overwhelmed. I am hoping that as a community, we can raise funds to help cover the costs of moving, security deposits, and temporary storage and shelter, in the hopes that Dawne can keep her independence.
