Community Support for Coach Humphreys' Loved Ones

On December 2nd our community lost a beloved member , Hoyal Humphreys or Coach Humphreys as many called him . I had the honor of being coached by him back in the day . And many years later he also helped coach my daughter . But that is just a little bit of his story . You see Coach Humphreys was proud of this community and it showed in his devotion not only to the sport of Basketball but in his love for kids . After he semi retired he went to work in the school system working in the Sped department as a one on one with special needs students, where again I had the honor of him mentoring, teaching and loving my child . He also at one point worked in the Oliver Springs schools doing the same work . I don’t know much about his time there but I can ensure you he had an impact just knowing what type of person he was . His family needs our support and love . They will be missing work as things continue to develop. He had two grandkids that I’m sure he loved deeply . Let’s show them how we come together to help in a time of need
