SUPPORT ME TO SUPPORT YOU 

Many people will know that I’ve been working and supporting the people of Barry for 30 years.  

I’ve worked for the  CAB, Women’s Aid, Mental Health , Social Services to name a few and I’ve donated free private  counselling hours to help the people who needed to talk. 

I’ve worked tirelessly for my community and now I’m calling on my community to help me fund a building and to set up services for the people of Barry.  

I want us together to be the first of its kind to run a Community Support Centre run by the community for the community.  And to do this I need your help. 

I know that Barry can do this , as I know that  we all pull together when we need to support each other , today I'm asking you to support me to do this.

I would like people and families to be able to access support and help under one roof , we will also provide activities , meeting places and even a place to sit and have a coffee and a chat.

The centre is aiming to be open late in the evening and weekends to help people who work or in school. 

I've spent the last 2 years talking to people about what is needed in Barry , what support  and activities would you  like to see and how can you help.

I have spoken to over 700 people , 10 community groups , put on 2 events , 3 surveys and spoken to most of the services in Barry that help people.   Henry and Tammi have also spoken on Bro Radio https://www.facebook.com/broradio/videos/365054581071604/,

We’ve now got 12 people from the community wanting to be part of the centre to help us make sure we are truly making this community support centre for the people of Barry 

And everyone is in agreement we need a Community Support Centre run by you for you , let’s have this supported and funded by you.
