Community-Powered Compost

Soil Cycle is a group of dedicated volunteers with big dreams for Missoula's sustainability future!
Our Dream:
We hope to foster the completion of the natural food cycle gathering and processing community compost naturally and safely. To do that, we need to bring together a community around big ideas and an understanding of food waste. We want to offer a simple way to turn their food scraps into soil, divert waste from the landfill, and help the environment. In less than two years, we have started that process with a curbside compost collection service for residents of Missoula, Montana, onsite composting, and educational workshops. Everything we do uses bicycles and human-power, keeping our service as sustainable as possible.
Food Waste is a Community Issue:
Food waste, a community issue, takes a community to solve. As dedicated citizens, we can make a huge difference! Even reusing and repurposing equipment costs money. This is where YOU come in: we need YOUR help to grow and fulfill our mission.
Donations:
Help Soil Cycle complete the natural food cycle from scraps to soil to salad. Funds raised via GoFundMe or Venmo @soilcycle will go directly towards buying supplies and establishing a composting facility that also allows community education. We soon hope to showcase at least 4 unique methods of managing organic waste, grow food ourselves to complete the cycle, and get more youth involved in the process! To make this dream a reality, we need funds and equipment to construct a year-round, indoor grub-and-worm food scrap recycling system and aquaponics system. As our dream continues to grow, you can help us make it a reality.
