Community Oversight Now

The Community Overight Now collaborative is working on a campaign to build Nashville’s first community oversight board (COB) to establish democratic accountability in relation to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD).  A community oversight board (COB) is an agency staffed with civilians, not sworn officers, tasked with investigating community complaints of misconduct by the police. It is one tool, among others, used to protect civilians’ rights, to maintain excellence in policing, and to create a safer Nashville. We have been given the unique opportunity to buy radio advertising time to promote the need for a COB.
