Community Love for Molly Canaan

Molly, in recent years, was diagnosed with a rare and terminal condition called Advanced Scleroderma.  Straight from the Mayo Clinic's webiste:

Scleroderma (skleer-oh-DUR-muh) is a group of rare diseases that involve the hardening and tightening of the skin and connective tissues — the fibers that provide the framework and support for your body.
In some people, scleroderma affects only the skin. But in many people, scleroderma also harms structures beyond the skin — such as blood vessels, internal organs and the digestive tract. Signs and symptoms vary, depending on which structures are affected.

For Molly, it is not only her skin, but her internal organs, as well.

Deciding to leave Haygood as a full time teacher has been a difficult decision, because her job brings so much joy to her life.  It's time now, though, for her to focus on her health and make memories with loved ones.  She has done her  best to hide her symptoms.  And in true Molly fashion, she has been reluctant to allow people to know, and more reluctant to ask for help. After learning that so many people want to swoop in and help, she has considered this opportunity, and has agreed.

We would love to raise money for Molly to use at her discretion.  Of course, there are medical bills to be paid, but many who have inquired would like Molly to also be able to use the money for experiences, such as golf outings, country concerts, or even a plane ticket to visit her family in the North East.

Please consider a donation for Molly, a beloved member of the Haygood community.
