School & Women’s shelter

Donation protected

We know, we know. Another *%$%^# situation in the world. This world is brutal, but wouldn’t it be amazing if at the end of our lives, we can clap and reflect on the people we have helped, and smile about the lives we have changed?

‘Money is like fertiliser. Hoarded on one tree, and it will rot. Spread around, a beautiful garden will grow.’ Anon.

If it is in your means, please read on and consider donating. If you are low on fertiliser, please feed yourself, and maybe later you would like to help grow a child or woman in need.

For every $50 donation you will go into a lucky draw to win $1000 worth of Desert Monsoon clothing, jewellery, art blankets customised to the sizing/ likes of the winner. (See photos at the end)
$50=1 ticket
$100=2 tickets etc.

50 kids miss out on an education. You can change that! :)

Project
To build a second School & Women’s shelter to extend The Vikas project school and facilitate livelihood initiatives to women in need.
About
‘Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.’ Anon
The women and the youth of the Kalbeliya community of Pushkar Rajasthan face immense adversity. They are at the bottom of the draconian caste system still prevalent in India and things need to change!

They are still labelled as the ‘untouchables’ and are one of the Indigenous and Scheduled Nomadic Tribes peoples of India. No Centrelink, and no help from the government.

Khushbhu Devi is one of the privileged people who has had the ability to execute something to support them since she was 7 years old. Making speeches as a school captain, spending all of her savings and selling clothes and Jewellery to support them has been her life. Times are once again brutal there and this time we really need your help!

We work with The Vikas project - https://www.vikasproject.org/
Have a look at the great work they do in your spare time!

We are the collectors of donations here in Australia as it is a registered NGO only within India and receiving funds from Australian bank accounts is expensive. You can claim up to $500 from the taxman for donations to charity. Just screenshot/ save your donation email.

Okay, so the Vikas Project school have too many students on the wait list (50 kids). Their parents are illiterate and mostly addicts to some sort of substance. Kids are left to wonder around the slums getting in to all sorts of trouble. To make things worse, the corrupt council of Pushkar is kicking them off their land of 20 years to make room for a wealthy tycoon to build a hotel! A documentary will be made about this, too much to write about…

These circumstances will affect generations and amount to so much unneeded suffering. This doesn’t need to be the case though! If we all donated a coffee or meals worth of money to this project, it will change the course of their tribe’s future forever.

The school and Women’s shelter will be a place for ongoing education, work opportunities, empowerment and support. It will be documented by the Vikas project.

*Just like we did during our Corona Virus Supply Fundraiser on facebook and Instagram, WE WILL PERSONALLY KEEP SUPPORTERS IN THE LOOP AND PUBLICLY INOFRM YOU WITH OUR PROGRESS AND THE IMPACT ON THOSE WHO WE SUPPORT

WARNING- Graphic content showing the reality for so many.
