Fall & Winter Fundraiser for our Community Garden!

This is our first Fall /Winter fundraising drive!
We are a neighborhood community garden open to anyone who wants to join us.
Our goal is to bring together friends & neighbors to grow food, share knowledge and build community!
We're fundraising to buy seeds, inputs to improve the fertility of our garden, equipment and tools to tend to our garden properly and cover other costs of operations.
To make it accessible, there are no fees to participate at our garden. So we're looking to you, our community, to help fund our efforts. Please pitch in $5, $15, $30 or more!
We aim to grow more than we need so we can share abundant harvests with local food pantries and neighbors in need. We share our gardening knowledge so that more people have the skills to grow their own food. We're connecting neighbors and building community to provide a more resilient and interdependent neighborhood.
Here are some of the things we have done at the garden:
- We share surplus produce with our neighbors and anyone walking by can take extra from our free table.
- This year we grew close to 700lbs of produce and there is room to easily double this amount!
- We host community potlucks to share our favorite recipes, gather and provide a sense of place, and appreciate our garden.
- We hosted our first community apple pressing this fall to raise awareness, drink fresh juice and kick off our fall fundraising efforts.
- We've hosted Girl Scout troops for planting sessions and we're open to more teaching in this manner.
- We've hosted apprentices who come to learn and grow food with us.
