Community Feasibility Study Funds

Help our community fund the feasibility study to incorporate so we will know whether it is a viable option for our islands. www.IncorporateTheIslands.com We are the Islands Community Association, a not for profit organization heading up the effort to get the feasibility study for incorporation funded for the islands of Oatland, Whitemarsh, Wilmington & Talahi (Chatham County, GA). We are island residents just like you! We started this fund to explore our choices against the consolidation with Savannah-Chatham, and to maintain our islands lifestyle and independance. All funds donated on GoFundMe will go directly to fund the feasibility study. Once our goal is reached, a check will be written directly to The University of Georgia Carl Vinson Institute in the amount of $30,000 to obtain our study. None of the money collected on GoFundMe is being used for operating expenses. All of the members of the association are volunteers. All donations (gofundme, cash, checks) received are being held at First Chatham Bank until we reach our goal. We are now set up for direct deposit and the funds will be going directly into the Islands Community Association bank account with First Chatham Bank. Thank you for your continued support!
