Setup Our New Community Center

Can you help us equip our community center serving children in the slums of Guatemala City?

We have been running a community center in Colonia Santa Fe, one of the "red zones" of Guatemala City for several years now.

125 children come in the afternoons for Bible classes and computer classes. They learn typing, office applications, email and internet skills, programming and webs design, receive math tutoring and get help with homework.

We have rented a bigger facility and are expanding our program form 1 1/2 hours to 3 hours.

By providing the children with a safe place to learn, we keeping them safe from the drugs, gangs and violence they are surrounded by and learning valuable life skills that will enable them to break the cycle of poverty.

We need funds to properly equip the facility so we can start classes on the 30th of January.

We need $2,000 to get it ready for classes by the 25th of January.

Funds will be used for:
Desks and shelves for computer classroom=$470
Electrical Wiring for computer classroom=$350
Lighting fixtures and wiring=$200
Bookshelves for library=$150
Cement work and masonry=$250
Fixing the roof=$135
