Community Center Fire Recovery Fund

On Monday, February 12, 2018 The Honorable Rabbi James Hodges, founder and Spiritual leader of the House of Israel Temple of Faith located 7126-30 South Chicago Avenue; Chicago, IL. 60619 suffered a devastating lost when the property was destroyed by fire.

Rabbi Hodges at 90 years old has been a leader in the Hebrew community for over 50 years. His goal has been to bring into existence the restoration of the “True Nation of Israel.” His empowering messages of unity and “Salvation Thru Identity” were televised from the building, known throughout the community as The Hebrew Ysraelite Culture Center. The destroyed property has been in operation since 1977 and was a multi-functional venue. It was an extremely popular staple within the community. While a portion of the property was used for worship services each Sabbath for over 40 years, the commercial side of the property was known as a very popular venue used by community members, politicians, churches, family members and friends as they socialized and enjoyed various events. Any donation, big or small, will be incredibly appreciated as  we cope with this life altering event and rebuilding process.
