Community Care Acupuncture Clinic in Cochise County

Hello, I'm Dr. Candace and I'm asking for your support to open a Community Acupuncture clinic in Cochise County.

Help me jump start a new clinic in Bisbee, Arizona. The New Space is healthy and healing and ready for me to rent. Its solar powered, quiet, full of sunlight and magical.

This clinic will provide both one on one treatments as well as group acupuncture. And, its not all about needles! Traditional Chinese Medicine includes a way to re-balance the body and the mind so that it can heal. In TCM there is auricular (ear), body acupuncture, cupping (fire and silicon), gua sha (jade scraping), tui na (chinese massage), plant medicine (topicals and tinctures), estim (electrical stimulus), scalp, nutrition and more.

Cochise county is very large and far away from typical Western medicine. It is statistically and scientifically validated that TCM has a powerful effect in healing the body without dangerous drugs or side effects. Daily things like not sleeping, headaches, and pain can interfere in a healthy vibrant body and TCM is effective in treating these and more including infertility, menopause, neuropathy, anxiety, PTSD, arthritis, injuries, and MuSculosKeletal for all the healthy youthful minded people living vibrant lives. This clinic will offer Shonishin (pediatric and child), women's health, and generalized TCM for all.

About me: I am a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Practitioner now in practice for four years. Until February 2024 I was the Licensed Acupuncturist for the VA Hospital in Detroit. Great things happened there. Within 6 months I had 200 patients consistently returning with new patients every day. Finding ways to get out of Opioid addictions which was the only way their pain was being treated in the western medicine world. I was treating vietnam veterans with agent orange poisoning, lung conditions from burnpiles, pregnant new mothers, neuropathies, cancer and everyone had mental stress. The group acupuncture sessions were so important and so significant in making friendships and healing together, it is my wish and desire to keep this going.

I am a certified Diplomate with NCCAOM, and licensed in the states of Colorado, Oregon and Arizona as an Acupuncturist. My specialty is trauma medicine and I am a NOLS Wilderness First Responder and work with Cochise County SAR on the trails in Chiricahua National Monument.

I intend to become veteran referred in the VA system so that I can offer treatments to all veterans as well as sliding scale for the community. Let's build this together!

Here's where you can help.

Let's think about donations. Everyone is asking for volunteers, and free labor. Everyone is asking for discount and financial assistance. I am no different, things are tough. but let's look at what a little can do to make a big difference, together and in the collective of us.

Coffee: donate a cup of coffee a week ($4) equals ~$20 a month

Dinner: definitely nourishing food is the number one thing you can do to heal and keep a healthy body. But I have seen some bad diets out there, and alot of it is due to poverty, scarcity of markets that offer Live food instead of processed foods (dead food). So why not donate the worth of a dinner $20 x ~5 per month = $100 donation

Buy a reclining Chair: We need 5 of for the community clinic at $65 each.

Needle Fund: Each patient has approximately 20 needles per treatment, not to mention I use ear seeds and micro tacks, oils and liniments and poultices for the patients. Its about $5 per treatment just for needles and the cost ranges from $12-20 per box of 100. So a daily needle requirement is $20-30. With two full clinic days a week seeing 12-15 patients, the needle fund monthly is $240 - 450.

Space: A clinic space is not cheap and has to be rented if not owned. In this case, the space to rent that I have found is really nice, healthy and healing. The cost is $400 a month x 6 months = $2400.

Of course there are other things like the gas to transport to the location, laundry of all of the daily linens, book shelves and chairs and a desk, etc. Miscellaneous costs = a donation of your choice.

I have a 6 month plan. I've totalled up the basics of everything mentioned above and come up with a round number of $9.000 to make this happen. As you may have noticed this total includes no profit, but this will grow and become profitable in so many ways. Its a seed waiting to be planted and we will help it grow.
