Hi, my name's Amelie and I I'm 17 years old from the Cotswolds. I'm raising funds for my equipment and vaccinations to volunteer in Borneo for 10 weeks with Raleigh International. I was lucky enough to get the SES Explorer Award to take part in a community and environmental project in a rural part of Sabah.

I have been out of school since the lockdown in 2020 but I've recently self studied and sat my GCSEs as a private candidate earlier this year. I want to develop my self confidence and independence whilst volunteering for a worthwhile cause.

On the expedition I'm looking forward to meeting new people my age and experiencing new things whilst contributing to important environmental and community work.
