"Comme les Filles" - Senior Thesis Short Film

Comme les Filles (LIKE THE GIRLS)
Fresh out of prison for a teensy crime, Joannie, a young and accomplished beauty pageant queen is on the hunt for her ex-boyfriend upon discovering he’s robbed her home. This film is a dark comedy with notes of the early 2000s ready to fuel your hunger for awkward nostalgic small-town Florida.

Where is the money going?
To truly portray the authentic, beautiful, and outrageous world of rundown Floridian beauty pageants, we'll need the funds for:

-Props, wardrobe, makeup
-Location fees + permits
-Music composer
-Craft services
-Implementing proper sanitation + safety measures

We're keeping safe during these times of COVID-19 and working on creating a healthy and clean environment for cast and crew. In the event that the pandemic does worsen, we will delay shooting until it is safe.

Who's Involved?
We're a core team of frequent collaborators and film students at the University of Tampa.
