Highway Park Veterans Memorial

The Highway Park Neighborhood Council is seeking $3500  for commercial grade seating, pavers, and letters for the wall for the new Veterans Memorial honoring those who serve/served in our armed forces.  The site is Highway Park (Lake Placid, FL) and intersects U.S.  HWY 27, Crestmore Drive and Anderson Street. The site already has underground electrical, irrigation, a functioning  7 1/2 ft tall fountain, 2 majestic eagles (600 lbs each) a 30 ft curved wall, plants, sidewalk, and flowers.  We have purchased five plaques honoring each branch of the military. These plaques will be affixed once the lettering is procured. The site has become a landmark and is attracting a number of visitors. Like our military, this Veterans Memorial is FOR ALL VETERANS.
