Comedian loses livelihood (Thanks to Geico ins)

Happy Holidays! Well for some of us. let me start by saying I’m not the type of person to reach out and ask for help, but something happened to me that I never saw coming. (this could happen to you or someone you care about) Especially when you rely on the professionalism and integrity of an insurance company as well known as Geico. Apparently some laws changed in Pennsylvania where if you do not ask for comprehensive coverage (full coverage) they are not required to offer it to you. However my situation is slightly different. Due to a payment being rescheduled I missed my geico renewal date by four days. Once I realize the discrepancy on 11-8-2019 I called them and was told that I had to have my policy re-issued. I informed them several times I wanted the exact same coverage(full coverage )I had four days ago and they assured me that is exactly what I would receive. Even when the girl told me my new payment ( by the way Geico doesn’t send you an actual quote they just send you your monthly payment, you have no idea what you’re agreeing to ) and I realized it was slightly lower. I brought it to her attention. and said “are you sure I have the exact same coverage I had with my original policy?” and she again assured me that I did. 4 days later on November 12, 2019 I’m driving in Pittsburgh and there is a cold snap resulting in the temperature dropping to 26° I find myself on a hill that I did not realize had not been salted, I slid down the icy road coming in contact with the the guard rail causing $4780 in damage.

This would’ve been bad news to most, but devastating to me. Because my income is derived from Lyft and Uber. and according to Lyft in Uber vehicle Standards

Thanks for reading, sharing, and giving if you can.
