Monday, October 8, 2018 started out as any normal day around the Malone home. Brandy and the kids were on fall break and the evening was coming to to end as Chad was in the yard playing with Evan. A simple attempt at a playful back flip went terribly wrong and everything changed in an instant.
Chad was flown Monday night to Vanderbilt for a spinal injury and had surgery on Tuesday. The surgery was an attempt to alleviate the swelling around the spinal cord. Chad is now resting in the Neuro ICU at Vanderbilt. His prognosis is unknown at this time but the the immediate plan is to move him to Shepherd Center Rehab in Atlanta as soon as possible. The Shepherd Center specializes in spinal cord rehabilitation and is highly recommended by the staff at Vanderbilt.
Chad has a long road of recovery and Brandy, of course, will be by his side every step of the way. Family and Friends have come together to ensure Mila and Evan are cared for during this time so Brandy and Chad can focus 100% on his recovery.

The medical bills have started accumulating and this is being set up to assist them with those bills and day to day expenses to help ease the financial burden of this terrible accident.
Every donation, no matter the amount, is appreciated. We all know Chad would do anything to help a friend or stranger in need, and we hope to collectively do the same for him.
