A short time ago after losing our beloved dog Ed, we as a family decided to get a new puppy… Cookie A fluffy pug !

We chose a reputable breeder and she assured us all health checks had been done and everything was fine with her puppies.

We was so so happy to have a new dog in our lives and then tragedy struck!

We noticed he had a problem with his back legs…..he had hip dysplasia

We checked back with the breeder and she told us that she didn’t Hip score as she’s never had this with her pugs even though this is a very common issue within the pug breed !

Now being such a young dog comes with its own challenges, but this was sadly only the beginning.

We took him back to the vets again after noticing he wasn’t standing independently and seemed quite weak and before we knew it we was rushing him over to a specialist hospital as he had a severe infection and other complications which tuned out to be due to severe inbreeding by the breeder !

Cookie is my son’s emotional support dog as he is autistic and this has made him incredibly upset and after losing one dog, to lose another would take a huge toll on him.

Currently at the moment Cookie is fighting for his life in doggy ICU and as much as I’m trying to fund this on my own, it is becoming very difficult to fund on my own.

So I have taken the very difficult decision to appeal to all dog lovers out there if they could kindly donate any amount you can spare to help me in paying the hospital costs to help Cookie keep fighting and come out of this and live the life he was meant to live!
