Columbian Club & Columbian Swim Club
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic many businesses are suffering financial hardship as are many families who have found themselves out of work or with reduced wages from cut hours.
Sadly, the Columbian Club/Columbian Swim Club have been impacted as well. As many of you know, we keep the clubs running by raising money, but because of this virus we’ve lost major funds from events that had to be canceled such as St. Patrick’s Day, a Taste of Union, breakfast with the Easter bunny, and many more.
For many, the Columbian club is more then just a place to visit, it is home. We depend on each other for support whether it’s to lend an ear when someone is having a difficult time or to help someone with a project or giving professional advice, etc. We laugh together, we cry together, we mourn together; we are family and like many families we may not get along all the time, but when things start to fall apart we come together to pick up the pieces and march on.
You may be saying to yourselves $30,000 seems like a lot to ask for, but the insurance premiums alone are in excess of 30,000 and it takes roughly 25,000 to open the pool and get the grounds ready for summer.
If you want to continue making memories with your families and friends, please find it in your heart to donate whatever you can, every dollar helps. Unfortunately, if we can’t overcome the financial hardship we are experiencing , the doors at 4504 may close forever.
