Colton's Mission Trip to Kenya

My whole life I have wanted to impact people. Ever since I was little, I have felt that one of my main purposes in this world was to change the lives of other people through my words and actions. This fall I was given the chance to do that, when I learned about a group of people going on a mission trip to Kenya in the spring. I instantly felt called to do this. While I am in Kenya, I will be constructing both a basketball camp, and soccer camp for kids ages 12-18, meeting new people, experiencing new culture, but most importantly, spreading the love of Jesus Christ. I felt so called to go on this trip specifically because I will get to do the work of God through what I love, sports. Sports have always appealed to me because of the competition, physical enjoyment, and the relationships that are built through them. I look forward to building relationships with these kids through sports. I believe it is right for me to go to Kenya in the spring because I have an opportunity to make a change and do what I was put on this earth to do, impact others. Any help that can be given to me to help me change the lives of others will be dearly appreciated.
