Neither of my folks should have to worry about money for chemotherapy related drugs at a time like this.
This is my mom. She has been in the hospital since July 7, 2017 when it turns out a wrong diagnosis of a stroke was given. A brain tumor was discovered in a CAT scan while at some point in the 14 hours she was waiting at the emergency ward. The tumor was a secondary tumor- that means it was from another part of the body which turns out to be the colon; bowel cancer. My mom was laid up in Sunnybrook hospital as a result. The brain tumor was removed successfully and surgery to remove the NET in the abdomen may be required.
Within the next months any funds will be useful since the drugs used as a supplement to chemotherapy are not covered under OHIP. In the meanwhile my mom and dad need help with their bills and any subsequent medical bills that may happen for probably the next 6 months.
By then either a completed treatment leading to a clean bill of health has happened, or, the next steps in the cancer saga have to be considered.
Ideally my mom recovers easily and enjoys her retirement years in good health and soonest. Any other help is , of course, greatly appreciated!
