Sandy, Nicolle and Kevin are three Colombian students that got stuck in Istanbul when they were trying to go to Colombia to visit their families. They study in Russia and had connecting flights to Istanbul, Amsterdam and Bogotá, but Turkish Airlines denied the boarding in Istambul and they were sent to Spain.
They were denied the entry in Spain and were sent back to Turkey where they have been trying to collect money for a "humanitarian" flight to Colombia. Unfortunately these flights are about €500 each. The Colombian consulate in Turkey claims that they cannot help them, because they don't have the money to pay for their tickets. They received some money for food (€25) but they are running out and need to find a solution asap. Their families in Colombia don't have the sufficient income to pay for this flights. The airlines deny any responsibility and the pandemic makes everything worse.
Any help you can share is welcome! Information, support, money, flights, air miles.Even if you have a family member in Turkey that could give them a free meal
is helpful. Their goal is to collect the money to go home with their families.
They couldn't create this gofundme themselves because the webpage doesn't work in Turkey. You can follow them in Instagram: @cvarados
Thank you all so much!
