Collin's Nanoknife treatment

Donation protected
Hi,

Collin, my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic Cancer in February. He suffered with indigestion and back pain for over 6 months before a scan revealed the dreaded disease. At that time it had already spread to his liver and the lymph nodes and he was in so much pain, he was put on so many pain killers. His prognosis wasn't good, he lost 3 stone (approx 20 kg) in 2 months as he was barely eating. His oncologist said at this stage they would expect him to live maybe for 5 more months. He started on chemotherapy in April and half way after his 6th cycle, a scan showed that the chemo was working and his tumors had started shrinking. Even better, the ones on his liver weren't visible anymore and he could finally come off the morphine and all other medications! However, after his 7th cycle, the chemo started to take its toll on Collin and where he was having it every fortnightly, he was now being told every week that his blood count was too low and it took 2 months to actually have 2 rounds where normally he would have had 4. That was when I realised we couldn't just rely on the chemotherapy alone, not when it was destroying his body as well. So I started researching into alternative treatment and stumbled upon one called Nanoknife. It is more commonly used in America but here In England, the only place to do It is at the Princess Grace Hospital in London. It gave us a little hope but at £13,000 we didn't think it would be easy. But family and friends gathered around and gave what they could and eventually we got what was needed and Collin had the op done mid September. Everything went well, however, Professor Leen (the doctor who performed the op) advised us to come back for a second one as there were more tumors he hadn't been able to reach and would only be able to do so on another day.

We are desperate to have this done as we believe it will give Collin more time, or even get rid of the cancer altogether. We are a young family with our youngest son being only 1 year and a half, we would love to have Collin around for as long as possible so we're asking anyone, who feel they can and want to help to please donate towards my husband's operation. Anything you can afford will be greatfully received.

May God bless you all.
