College Park Local Cat TNR

Donation protected
Hello! I’m Elise Probus, a 17 year old High school student who for going on 4 years now has been helping out some furry friends. In my neighborhood of College Park there is quite the feral cat population and I think we need to step up to help control it. Every year there are more and more cats! I mean, who doesn't love cats and kittens? The thing is, because of how big the population is these animals are inbreeding, having major health problems, having kittens way too young, and more. TNR (trap-neuter-release) is the program for humanely trapping feral cats, taking them to get sterilized as well as getting them some shots, deworming and a health evaluation. Doing so, slows down reproduction in the colony as well as making sure these guys are healthy! Which means less kittens, less of a chance for deformities or health problems in kittens, less cat fighting, less spraying in the neighborhood, and more. After they are fixed and recovered for a specific amount of time they are either released back where they came from, put into a foster home or adopted. (As a reminder these cats can be hard to adopt out since they are feral) It’s all completely safe for the animals! Of course the neighbors and I try our best to take care of and look after these cats after recovering and releasing them. I do not support animals being abandoned. So far I have over 39 cats spayed/neutered. If you'd like to help TNR that would be awesome! It's a lot of hard work and help is greatly appreciated, anybody willing to trap, take in temporarily or recover please feel free to contact me.
