College Tuition - Road to UN

Donation protected
My name is Alex Gimenez and at the age of 27, I decided to go back to college to pursue the dream of my life: Study an MBA and work for the United Nations at any of the most challenging locations: Pakistan, South Sudan, Central African Republic, just name it! My aim is to dedicate my life to help to prevent conflicts and promoting the development of the local population in countries with conflicts ongoing.

Coming from a very humble family from Badalona (Adjacent city to Barcelona, Spain) I always challenged myself to break my comfort zone. Being fanatic of history, geography and politics, I chose to study a bachelor degree in Hospitality Management which would allow me to work abroad and learn other perspectives of life.

Once I finished my bachelor degree with great marks (Average 8.3 out of 10) and with one of my parents who recently passed away due to leukemia, I took the challenge of moving to Djibouti (East Africa), where I lived and worked for 3 years (And I managed to learn Somali language!). Djibouti left a big mark in my heart so I knew at some point I would be coming back to Africa but that time under the perspective of humanitarian aid and peacekeeping. After Djibouti, I worked for few months in Switzerland and I am currently in Ireland, but the damage was done: I realized after the Djibouti experience that I could not avoid anymore following my dream.

In fact, in one of the short periods off I had last year, I went with my girlfriend to Cambodia where we volunteered teaching English to kids from the ages 5 to 16. One of the best experiences in life!
I decided then to enrol in a top education program in order to prepare myself for the big challenge ahead and I managed to save money enough to pay the first tuition fee (5,000 Euro) and to be able to support myself during the time I will be studying and doing an internship, as my family cannot afford to do.

There is where you come in the picture: After paying the first tuition fee and receiving a scholarship the remaining amount to be paid is 22,000 Euros. I am very aware that it will be extremely difficult to reach that amount but any contribution (Big or small) will be extremely appreciated. If you believe you can pass on the next lunch or drink out and help me achieve my dream I will be extremely grateful for life.
I got the willing, the skills, and the hardworking attitude. The last piece of the puzzle which remains is the financial support.

Thank you for your time and for reading!!

Alex
