My grandson has an opportunity to attend the college of his dream--Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. He has really worked hard to make this happen.
We have gone through so much. I am his grandmother. I have raised Rahmani since the last day of his 3rd grade year. I lost my job as a teacher in 2015. We lost our home in September 2016 and our car in February 2017. We became homeless and was told we could stay until he graduated from high school.
I became ill with Type 2 Diabetes, gout, and Stage 4 Kidney disease. My grandson got a job at Bojangles trying to help out during his senior year of high school. He requested as many hours as they could give him. It hurt seeing him trying to work those hours and go to school. Nevertheless, he did it.
After graduation, we were told to leave. We stayed in a hotel for two days trying to figure it out. We felt forgotten about.
Rahmani had to take the money he had left to take a Megabus to Chicago so he could have a roof over his head. He had to leave his job and he was losing hope that he would not be able to come back to Georgia . He has not been able to get a job in Chicago.
It is our hope and prayer that you will give, share, pray that his dream to attend Moreshouse will become his reality.
Please help support my grandson.
Thank you son much!
