Help Colleen on her CANCER journey

Imagine conquering cancer after a fierce fight and difficult road of treatment. 5 years later and ready to take on the world you are told a new vicious cancer has riddled your body and you only have 1-2 years to live.

Some of you who know me may be aware that my Aunty Colleen (one of the kindest and strongest woman I know) has been fighting cancer for quite some time. She was diagnosed with breast cancer (hormone receptive) in 2006 at the ripe old age of 46. After the shock wore off, Colleen had a mastectomy and was treated with intense chemotherapy. She was, at the time, living and working in New Zealand. The shock of the diagnosis and the haste with which the doctors had her booked in for a mastectomy and chemo was astounding. There was no time to think about other options and the doctors were very quick to get her started on chemo.

Colleen then accepted a job in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. One sunny day in June of 2011, Colleen noticed she had pain in her back. Well off she went to the chiropractor, GP and pysio therapy. The pain however was persistent, as was Colleen. Eventually her GP sent her to the Kalgoorlie hospital for tests. In no time at all Colleen was being flown to Perth Hospital. The diagnosis: secondary breast cancer in the bones of the spine. Her spine was riddled with tumours.

The prognosis : 1-2 years left to live, the future would not be pleasant as the tumours on her spine meant she would eventually be wheelchair bound with a bag for going to the toilet.

There have been many ups and downs for my Aunty Colleen since then. Her condition is progressing but she’s still here!! Since Colleen received the last diagnosis / prognosis she has, with the help of friends and family, looked into many so called cures. Some have helped and obviously some have not. However, she has now worked out a natural protocol which seems to be working for her (there's no one size fits all with cancer)!!

I am so grateful that my Aunty is still here and want to make her life as long and as comfortable possible! Colleen receives a very small disability pension but nothing else. The supplements alone are extremely expensive ! Plus there’s the equally expensive required pain therapy, organic diet, and not to mention regular bills (that we all struggle with even though we are able to work). If you could help Colleen with a donation of any size - I know she will HUGELY appreciate any donations at all.

PLEASE HELP – She has outlived the prognosis - Let's try to make her time left as comfortable as possible!
