"The most beautiful people I have known defeat, know suffering, known struggle, know loss, and have found their way out of the depths.  These persons have an appreciation, a sensitivivty, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness, and a deep loving concern.  Beautiful people do not just happen..."  Elizabeth Kubler Ross

Colleen happens to be one of these "beautiful people", in so many of our lives. She is a fabulous mother, a "give-you-the-shirt-off my back" type of friend, a loving wife, sister, co-worker, and a person that would not only hang the moon for you but also hand you stars....She is a blessing in so many of our lives...

Unfortunately, she has been dealt a hand of cards in the past 6 months that would push most of us to the brink.  Instead she looks at the hands of cards and immediatlely new what she needed to do, and my friends; she is doing it...

This past January she was diagnosed with breast cancer and told she would need one of the most intense chemo regimens, along with surgery, followed by radiation, and then a maintenance chemo for a year after.  She heard these words, this diagnosis, and the treatment and didn't even think twice... she knew what she had to do and though the road has seemed long at times, and not always easy, her strength, her will, her positive attitude, and her indestructible fight has far surpassed most people handed those frightening words.

Unfortunately, the side of effects of these intense treatments along with her need for her focus to remain completely on beating this has caused her to be unable to continue working.  Her entire focus and strength  MUST be on trudging forward and getting better.  I have to be honest and say, no one I know has the work ethic this sweet soul does and as you can imagine it is tearing her a part to be unable to work... she has shared with me numberous times that she just wants to get better and get back to work....We have to remind her often that work will be there as soon as she is strong enough and beats this brutual disease!

There are many words to describe this amazing woman; kind-hearted, generous, strong-willed, extremely brave, but most of all, selfless.  She gives so openly without expecting  anything in return.  She has always been there to support each and every one of us and now it is time for us to support her.

For every phone-call or text we have received on a bad day, for every event she has supported, for every time she has been any of our "biggest fans" for every thoughtful act she has performed for us, just because she truly cared. It is now time for us pay it forward and lift her up...To let her know that we are her "biggest fans"; and she WILL make it through this!! She has incurred a mountain of medical bills and the treatment is not over yet...

As you can all imagine it was tough for her to give us the go ahead to create this fund but there are so many of you out there that have asked what you can do to help. Now I am coming to you today to let you know; this is how you can help... If you are able to donate and would like to please use this page, most of all please continue your prayers as they are what is most important at this time...

Thank you all from the botton of our hearts for your constant love, support, prayers, and most of all for lifting her up...
